Clean all the leaves How to Find the Last Leaves
Stuck at 96–99%? Slow down, own the edges, and re-sweep every space you already unlocked.
Why the last percent is a different game
Most of Clean all the leaves! is a volume problem: swing, sell, upgrade, open the next gate. The last few percent is a search problem. The official card still wants every leaf gone in time, so a sloppy speed loop that leaves fence lines dirty can cost the secret ending even if your tool is strong.
This guide is the “how to find / how to complete” page for leftover leaves. It assumes you already know collect → sell → equip from Getting Started and you have opened the obvious gates with Area Unlocks. If the bar is still in the 40s, you do not need this article yet — you need more unlocked ground.
Read the clean percent like a detector
After you finish a pocket, glance at the clean percentage:
- It moved — that pocket had remaining leaves. Keep the same method on the next similar space.
- It did not move — you re-cleaned a finished carpet or you are standing in scenery. Change location, do not grind the same strip.
- It jumped after an unlock — the new interior or vent pocket was the missing chunk. Sweep it fully before you return to the open yard.
One player in co-op should own this job (the percent caller on Co-op Tips). Twelve people “feeling” like the yard is done is how lobbies stall at 98%.
The four places leftover leaves hide
1. Edges and fence lines
Speed routes cut the center and ignore the rim. Walk the entire boundary: fences, walls, hedges, porch lips, and the strip where grass meets a building. Switch to walk, not sprint. Thin leftover lines do not show well at full run FOV.
2. Garage interiors
The garage button puzzle is not complete when the door opens. Players celebrate, take a screenshot, and leave a ring of leaves just inside the threshold and along interior walls. Assign two sweepers to the interior the moment it opens, then do a second lap after the first “it looks clean.”
3. Vent pockets
Vents exist to hide volume you cannot see from the starter carpet. A curiosity peek is not a clear. Map each vent mouth, wipe the pocket, and call “vent clear” so the percent caller can check the bar. AFK in a tunnel blocks the next teammate and hides the last leaves from everyone.
4. Post-unlock thresholds
New map parts often spawn or reveal leaves just past the gate. Sprint-throughs miss them. After every unlock, take three slow steps in and look left/right before you charge the next landmark.
A last-leaves route you can copy
- Confirm tool equipped and bag not starving you (Upgrade Planner).
- Confirm garage + vents + any other known gates are actually open (Map Overview).
- Walk the open-yard perimeter once, clockwise, no sprinting on the rim.
- Interior pass: garage and any opened rooms, walls first, floors second.
- Vent pass: every known mouth, wipe, exit, check percent.
- Reverse the perimeter (counter-clockwise). Opposite direction catches the line your eye skipped.
- If percent is still short, you are missing an unlock, not a pixel. Re-read Area Unlocks.
- When the bar hits 100%, stay online for the Secret Ending.
Timer vs pedantic pass
The how-to-play text says clean in time. That does not mean you should sprint the final pass. It means you should not waste the early clock on sightseeing so you still have minutes for a slow rim. If the timer is already dying, skip cosmetics and class menu browsing — finish leaves you can see, then open the next gate only if you can clear it.
Classes can help movement or clear style; they do not delete leftover rim leaves. See How to Get Classes after the yard is under control.
Special leaves are not this page
Leaf Collection is a separate, rare badge for special leaves. Hunting that set will not fix a 97% clean bar by itself. If your percent is short, you are missing ordinary leaves. If your percent is 100% and you still want the rare badge, switch to Leaf Collection.
Solo vs 12-player last pass
Solo: you remember what you touched. Do the reverse-perimeter trick; it is the highest value minute in the run.
Co-op: assign compass slices (N/E/S/W rims) plus one interior owner plus one vent owner. Nobody “helps” a finished slice. Call leftover percent after each slice. Do not stack twelve avatars on the same fence.
Common last-leaf mistakes
- Calling the run done because the center looks empty
- Opening garage and never sweeping it
- Treating vents as shortcuts instead of rooms
- Chasing Codes mid-final-pass (still no verified codes)
- Leaving at 99% because someone has to go — the secret ending wants 100% and a player still in the server
Finish the rim. Then finish the story.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers about Clean all the leaves and this wiki.
Where do the last leaves hide?
Usually on edges and fence lines, just inside the garage, in vent pockets, and on the far side of a gate you sprinted through.
The clean percent will not move. What now?
Change location. Recheck unlocks. A frozen bar means you are cleaning a finished carpet or you have not opened the dirty room yet.
Should I sprint during the final pass?
No. Walk the rim. Sprint is for empty travel earlier so you still have timer left for a slow finish.
Is Leaf Collection the same as last leaves?
No. Last leaves are ordinary leftover percent. Leaf Collection is a rare special-leaf badge after (or besides) a full clean.
Does co-op help the last percent?
Yes if you assign rims and vents. No if everyone stacks on the same pretty pile.
